How PiccyFlip works
What is PiccyFlip?
PiccyFlip is a local marketplace for people who want to buy and sell directly with each other. Sellers create a Flip, buyers make an offer or request an evaluation, both sides agree on an appointment, and the buyer inspects the item before completing the purchase.
Is PiccyFlip an online shop?
No. PiccyFlip helps local buyers and sellers find each other, agree a price, arrange an evaluation and keep a clear record of the transaction. The item sale itself is between the buyer and seller.
Can the same account be both a buyer and a seller?
Yes. You can switch between Buyer and Seller mode without creating another account. Your history and Trust Ranking stay attached to the same PiccyFlip account.
Why does PiccyFlip avoid chat before an evaluation?
The aim is to reduce endless messages and move genuine buyers toward a clear offer and appointment. Once a booking is in place, the seller can choose the contact methods that are available for the appointment.
What is a Trust Ranking?
Trust Ranking is built from real PiccyFlip activity. For buyers, the visible history focuses on attended appointments, purchases, no-shows and ratings. An evaluation counts as Attended whether the buyer purchases the item or not. A free Flip is earned only after a completed purchase. Buyer cancellations are kept private rather than displayed as a public trust statistic.
Does PiccyFlip hold the money for the item?
No. PiccyFlip does not act as escrow for the sale price. The agreed item payment goes directly between buyer and seller using the confirmed payment method. The Seller Reservation Guarantee is separate from the item price.
Can I install PiccyFlip like an app?
Yes. Use Get PiccyFlip App when it is available. PiccyFlip can be added to your phone or computer so it opens like an app without needing an App Store download.
How long are sold or closed listings kept?
Sold items disappear from Browse straight away and remain in the buyer and seller archive for 30 days. Closed unsold items also have a 30-day recovery period. After that, old listing images and listing archives are removed unless an unresolved transaction requires them to be kept longer.
Can I download my information or delete my account?
Yes. Open Privacy & Data in your Dashboard. You can download your personal data or use Close & Delete Account. PiccyFlip will stop account deletion if an active appointment, unresolved dispute, seller payout or other unfinished transaction still needs to be completed.
BUYERS
Finding, offering, booking and buying
Does it cost anything to browse or buy on PiccyFlip?
PiccyFlip does not charge a buyer fee for browsing, making an offer or buying an item. A Seller Reservation Guarantee may be used for an appointment. That is a temporary card commitment, not part of the item price.
Do I need an account to browse?
You can browse available Flips without signing in. You need a Buyer account before you can make an offer, join an evaluation queue or book an appointment.
Why do I need a mobile number before making an offer?
A valid mobile number helps support a real local appointment and can be used for booked contact where the seller allows it. PiccyFlip does not require public pre-evaluation chat.
How do offers work?
If the seller allows offers, you can offer within the negotiation range they have chosen. The seller can accept, counter or decline. If the price is firm, you request an evaluation at the listed price instead.
How low can I offer?
The seller controls the allowed negotiation range, up to a maximum 20 percent reduction from the asking price. PiccyFlip blocks offers outside the seller's chosen range so both sides start with a realistic price.
What are Best Times for Visit?
When making an offer you can choose the Today or Tomorrow time windows that suit you. These are preferences, not a booking. The seller uses them as a guide when offering a specific appointment time.
What happens after I make an offer?
The seller can accept it, counter it or decline it. If you move into the evaluation queue, the seller can offer a specific appointment based on their availability and the visit times you selected.
What is the evaluation queue?
A Flip can have up to three active evaluation positions. PiccyFlip keeps those positions in order. If an earlier buyer drops out, the next eligible buyer can move forward.
What is the Seller Reservation Guarantee?
It is a temporary card hold in the listing’s local currency, with the exact amount shown before you confirm, used to show that you genuinely intend to attend. If it is active, the seller agrees to reserve the item for your appointment and not complete a sale with another buyer before that appointment.
Is the Seller Reservation Guarantee a payment?
Not when everything goes normally. PiccyFlip uses Stripe to place a temporary hold, usually around 24 hours before the appointment. If you attend, the hold is released. It is not part of the purchase price.
Can I book without the reservation guarantee?
With a seller using Flexible Reservation, yes. You can choose first come, first served. No reservation hold is required, but the seller is allowed to sell the item to somebody else before your appointment.
Why does a seller sometimes require the reservation guarantee?
Strict Reservation is only available after a seller has built a visible record of at least 10 verified attended appointments. An established seller can then choose to require the guarantee for confirmed first-position appointments.
What happens if I do not attend?
A confirmed no-show can allow the reservation amount to be captured. If you believe you attended and were wrongly marked as a no-show, PiccyFlip gives you an appeal period. Your Trust score is not changed while that appeal is being reviewed.
How do I prove I attended?
Use the check-in PIN or QR process for the appointment. Check-in gives PiccyFlip a clear attendance record and helps release an active Seller Reservation Guarantee.
Who decides how I pay for the item?
You can state a payment preference when making the offer. The seller confirms the final payment method when arranging the appointment. PiccyFlip shows that method in the booking so both sides know what was agreed.
When do I pay for the item?
Inspect the item first. After you decide to proceed, follow the agreed payment method. Always make sure the item and payment details are correct before completing the purchase.
How do car and boat payments work?
Cars and boats can use direct bank transfer after inspection. A seller may set an optional purchase deposit. If so, the buyer sends it directly to the seller after deciding to proceed, the seller confirms receipt, and the remaining balance is then completed. PiccyFlip does not hold the vehicle sale money.
Can I cancel an appointment?
Yes, where the booking controls allow it. Repeated buyer cancellations can become part of your reliability history, so only book times you genuinely expect to attend.
Can I rate the seller?
Yes. Completed PiccyFlip activity can lead to buyer and seller ratings. Those ratings become part of the Trust system so future users can see a more useful history.
Can I make another offer after attending but not buying?
Yes. An attended no-purchase appointment closes only that evaluation. If the Flip is still available, you can return later and make a completely new offer or evaluation request. The seller can accept, counter or decline it in the normal way, and your earlier attendance remains in your Trust history.
What is Buy One, Flip One?
When a genuine PiccyFlip purchase is completed, the buyer earns one lifetime listing credit on the same account. That credit can be used later if you decide to sell something yourself. Pro Lifetime users already have free Flips, so they do not need an extra credit for each purchase.
How long can I see a completed purchase?
The completed item remains in your Purchases archive for 30 days. After that, the old listing imagery and archive card are removed to keep PiccyFlip storage lean. Essential transaction records may be kept where needed for support, accounting or disputes.

Listing, appointments, payments and promotion
How do I create a Flip?
Switch to Seller mode and tap + New Flip. Start with a clear photo, add the item details, price, location and category, then publish it. You can add more photos as part of the listing flow.
Can I edit a Flip after I publish it?
Yes. Open Seller Dashboard, choose My Listings and tap Edit Listing, or open your own Flip and use Edit Listing there. You can correct the title, price, description, location, offer settings and photos without creating a new listing. If buyers already have active offers or evaluations, PiccyFlip protects them by locking major identity changes such as changing the category or removing and reordering existing photos until that buyer activity is resolved.
How much can I write in a listing?
Your title can be up to 80 characters and the main item details can be up to 2,500 characters. That gives room for a few useful paragraphs plus measurements, features or a specification list. Line breaks are kept so structured details remain easy to read.
Is my first Flip free?
Yes. Each seller receives one free welcome listing credit. After that, your Membership screen shows the available Lifetime options and any listing credits on your account.
What is PiccyFlip Lifetime?
Lifetime is the occasional-seller option. It is a one-off membership that includes extra Flip credits plus saved Local Facebook Groups and the Facebook Listing Kit. Extra credit packs can be bought only when needed.
What is PiccyFlip Pro Lifetime?
Pro Lifetime is aimed at regular sellers. It includes free Flips while the eligible active membership remains in force, plus named Facebook Group Packs and Pack import/export between your PiccyFlip accounts. Current pricing and terms are shown in Membership.
Do PiccyFlip listing credits expire?
Purchased listing credits do not expire while the account remains eligible. Lifetime benefits and account eligibility remain subject to the PiccyFlip Terms and active-account policy.
Can I choose a firm price or accept offers?
Yes. You can list at a firm price or allow negotiation. If you allow offers, you choose the maximum discount you are prepared to consider, up to 20 percent below your asking price.
What information do I receive with a buyer offer?
You see the buyer's offer, payment preference, preferred visit windows, reservation choice and available Trust information. You can then accept, counter or decline.
How do buyer visit preferences help me?
The buyer can choose suitable Today and Tomorrow time windows when making the offer. You use those windows as a guide and offer a specific appointment time that works for you.
How many buyers can be in the evaluation queue?
Up to three active evaluation positions can be held for one Flip. PiccyFlip keeps the order clear so you know which buyer is first and who may be next if an earlier appointment does not proceed.
What is Flexible Reservation?
Flexible Reservation lets the buyer choose between the local-currency Seller Reservation Guarantee and first come, first served. New sellers use Flexible Reservation while they build their visible Trust history.
When can I use Strict Reservation?
Strict Reservation unlocks after 10 verified attended appointments. Once unlocked, you can keep Flexible Reservation or switch to Strict. Strict means a confirmed first-position buyer must use the Seller Reservation Guarantee.
What do I promise when a buyer uses the Seller Reservation Guarantee?
You agree to reserve the item for that buyer until the confirmed appointment and not complete a sale with another buyer before that appointment.
What if a buyer chooses first come, first served?
No reservation hold is required. You may still sell the item to another buyer before that appointment. PiccyFlip makes that status clear so the buyer understands the risk.
What happens if a protected buyer does not attend?
If the appointment qualified for seller no-show protection, the no-show is confirmed and the guarantee is successfully captured, 80 percent of the captured amount is credited to your PiccyFlip seller payout balance. Protection applies to qualifying appointments scheduled within 72 hours of the buyer's offer.
Why should I use the check-in PIN or QR?
Check-in gives PiccyFlip a clear attendance record. It protects both sides, releases an active reservation hold for an attending buyer and helps make Trust information more reliable.
What do I do after the evaluation?
Record the outcome in Seller Bookings. You can confirm attendance, record no purchase, report a no-show when appropriate, or complete the sale after you have confirmed the agreed payment.
How do I get paid for the item?
The buyer pays you directly using the payment method confirmed for the booking. PiccyFlip does not hold the item sale money. Always check your own PayPal or bank account before handing over the item or marking the sale complete.
How do car and boat purchase deposits work?
You can set an optional purchase deposit on a car or boat listing. It is paid directly to you after the buyer inspects the vehicle and decides to proceed. You confirm the deposit in PiccyFlip before the buyer sends the remaining balance.
How does my Seller Trust Ranking grow?
Attendances, completed sales, cancellations, no-shows and ratings contribute to your visible history. The aim is to let a new buyer see that you have successfully used PiccyFlip before.
What is a Fast Track seller account?
PiccyFlip administrators can approve a Fast Track history credit for selected Lifetime accounts or testing. Fast Track can count toward the 10-appointment Strict Reservation unlock, but it does not create fake bookings, ratings or payment records. When Fast Track credit is still contributing to the displayed seller count, the Trust card identifies it as Fast Track approved.
Can I share my Flip outside PiccyFlip?
Yes. Your seller view includes sharing tools for the direct Flip link. Standard sharing remains available without a Lifetime membership.
What Facebook tools come with Lifetime?
Lifetime unlocks saved Local Facebook Groups and the Facebook Listing Kit. You can save regular group links, prepare a listing title and description, use the main photo and step through selected Facebook groups one at a time.
What extra Facebook tools come with Pro Lifetime?
Pro Lifetime adds named Group Packs. You can create packs for different areas or selling categories, apply a pack to a Flip, and import or export packs between PiccyFlip accounts.
Can PiccyFlip post automatically into my Facebook Groups?
No. Facebook no longer provides third-party access that allows PiccyFlip to publish into a seller's groups automatically. PiccyFlip prepares the content and opens the selected group, then you make the final Facebook post yourself.
Can I move my saved Facebook groups to another PiccyFlip account?
With Pro Lifetime you can export a Group Pack and import it into another Pro Lifetime account. The pack carries the saved group names and links needed for that pack, without storing Facebook passwords or login details.
What happens when I mark an item Sold?
It disappears from Browse immediately. The sold item remains visible in the buyer and seller archive for 30 days, then the listing imagery and archive card are removed. Minimal transaction records can remain where needed.
What happens when I close an unsold item?
The Flip is hidden immediately and gets a 30-day recovery window. If you reactivate it during that period, the cleanup timer is cancelled. If it stays closed for 30 days, PiccyFlip permanently removes the listing and its uploaded images.
Can I close and delete my seller account?
Yes, from Privacy & Data. PiccyFlip will first require you to resolve active appointments, reserved listings, unresolved disputes, seller payout balances or a legacy recurring subscription. This prevents another user or payment from being left unfinished.
